How many of you are thinking that you are getting older or perhaps you are still the same. Asian tend to keep a youthful appear from age 16-30 but after its all down hill for them. Is it because we are starting a family and longer care or is it because of genetic?

  1. I think it is all genetics. My mom and my grandma both look very youthful for their age and I do see many Asian girls who look 5 years younger than their actual age. Since I am only half Asian i don’t think i acquired this gene because i definitely look older than i did even two years ago. My sister on the other hand is 18 but looks like she’s maybe 13.

  2. I think eating habit is is also an important factor for a youthful appearance. For example, many Asian cuisines love to use ginger in their cooking recipes, and ginger is well-known for its ability to increase metablism by up to 20 percent. A fast metablism can well maintain a young looking face.

  4. I think for the most part, Asian people tend to consume lots of food or liquids with health benefits like tea. Compared to Americans who are known to consume unhealthy food products (such as fast food) that may contribute to difference in appearance among Asian and American people. genetics also plays a huge factor into appearance.
