No, I don't think avoid them will make they go away. It will stay there until one day it start again and you can't avoid it. You just need to face it and find a way out and not avoid it. I think we all have experience in life where we try to avoid it in the beginning and later on it comes all at once.
I do not think Asians Stereotypes or any stereotypes can go away even if no one talks about them. There are many ways to spread peoples ideas and many others can still perceive each other in their heads. The best way to avoid negative comments is to educate the youth about them and let them know that they do not help society if you put down a certain group because of their nationality.
Asian stereotypes will not go away. The best thing to do is to just ignore it. If the stereotypes were to stop at one point, it will eventually come back and be talked about. Avoiding the problem will not make it go away.
Yeah ignoring that they exist is just living in denial and unfortunately you may decide to avoid the stereotypes but others will choose not to. I think people just need to realize the boundaries of when it is good to use stereotypes (in a joking manner) and when it is not appropriate in the least.
Avoiding it won't make a bit of a difference. Stereotypes will probably never fade away due to the media. Without the media, people wouldn't know half the stereotypes they know about these days. They are just judging people based on what they see/hear on the media without any knowledge.
I say avoid the stereotypes will be a good start to ending it if we just don't talk about it. It is the people who keep on pointing out stereotypes that keep it going.
