What do you think of Asian Culture?
Whether your'e asian or not, hopefully you learned a bit more about Asian cultures. What is your opinion of asian cultures based on your own experience. What are things that you like or dislike? Is their a particular Asian Culture that you favor?
Asian culture? first word comes to mind, vary. asian has so many cultures and each of them are unique. maybe indonesian because i've gotten used to it.
Asian culture to me is filled with history, and it can be odd to some if they are not used to it because it can be so different in values and morals compared to the American culture. I really dont have a favorite, but I am used to my own Chinese culture.
I think asian culture is rich with history and struggles. many people underestimate the things asians had to go through. Some think we just came to a different country because we felt like it. Yes there are some that wanted to find a better future and job but many had no choice but to leave their countries and family. As an asian myself i grew in a very traditional family with many expectations, goals, and morals. Like in a korean family you must respect your elders. i think that is a good thing. also that a lot of asian parents want you to go to college and what not. but i think it is because they just want to give you what they did could not have.

ReplyDeleteI noticed from our presentations on the different countries that education is a major part of all Asian cultures

ReplyDeleteOne thing I don't like about it is that it's very traditional. I like how "free" the western cultures are better.
