After attending this class for a whole quarter, what is the biggest thing you have taken away from it and why?
For me, I think that I learned so much about different cultures through my peers which was the best part. Its rare to participate so much in a class and to have the opportunity to learn from each other. I wasn't aware of the struggles that asian immigrants had to go through to get to the United States and I really take my freedom here for granted.
I was very happy with this class! becuase i learned so much in other histories. Really Really I was happy with Mr. Mendoza during this quarter.

ReplyDeleteI learned that every single person comes from very different walks of life and their culture is a huge factor which has a powerful effect on who that person is, where they have been, and who they will eventually become. I learned a lot more about the struggle of Asians coming to America. I knew a little bit before about it and my parents have told me stories, but thanks to class i have a better image and understanding of what it was really like.
I really enjoyed this class because I got to learn a lot more about my heritage and Japan in general. I believe that I also learned how to improvise more in my speeches thanks to Mendoza's assignments regarding presentations. We also (as a class) got to learn about some interesting things about each other from our presentations.
ReplyDeleteI am happy that i have the chance to take this class. the things that i learn through this class is culture differences and how we understand those things.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I loved most about this class was being in a classroom with like minded people who somewhat share the same history as myself
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed taking this class because it actually showed me that I am not the only one who has a background full of stories because other do too.
